Macaulay Culkin is favor of removing Donald trump’s cameo from Home Alone 2

Macaulay Culkin has spoken out in support of removing president Donald Trump’s cameo from the
iconic 1992 movie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
In the movie, Trump appears in the Plaza Hotel—which he actually owned at that time—as Kevin
McAllister (Culkin) is looking for the lobby.

A Home Alone fan said on twitter she’d like to start a petition to digitally replace trump in the movie.
The actor responded to this with “Sold.”
Another fan even shared an altered version of the scene without trump, to which Culkin tweeted,
“Bravo.”

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had previously cut out trump from Home Alone 2, during a
Christmas day broadcast in 2019. The CBC’s Head of Public Affairs said that the 10-second scene was
a part of the eight minutes footage removed from the movie to save time during the television
broadcast with advertisements.
